K6 - Cement Manufacturing
Achieving precise control of gas temperature, humidity
and volume can be challenging and complicated. Without
it, you can face costly consequences ranging from lost
production time to downstream equipment damage to
government fines for excess emissions. That’s why gas
cooling has become a top priority for cement plants
around the world. Evaporative cooling remains the best
solution for gas conditioning, and our spray nozzles and
automated systems are quickly becoming the industry
standard.
Features and Benefits
-
Key feature overview for FloMax®
air atomizing spray nozzles:
- Tight control of drop size and spray coverage make FloMax nozzles ideal for cooling gases in kilns, towers, ductwork, dryers and more.
- Patented multi-stage atomization process produces extremely small drops using minimal air.
- Small drops generate more surface area per gallon for a more complete reaction and total absorption without wetting.
- Higher turndown of flow rate to maintain air pressure while liquid and flow vary.
- Large flow rate per nozzle means fewer nozzles are required for cooling.
- 316 and 310 Stainless Steel are standard. HASTELLOY®, Stellite® and reaction-bonded silicon carbide also available for harsh environments.
- Large free passage enables flexibility in water sources.
- Durable, long-wearing parts require little maintenance and no special tools required for replacement.
- Lightweight standard lances (0°, 45° and 90°) are readily available; custom spray lance design and manufacture to exacting specifications also part of our offering.

Key feature overview for Flowback
lances:
- Ideal way to improve performance in existing hydraulic systems.
- Produces a consistent drop size by applying consistent pressure to the nozzle at all times.
- When desired gas temperature is achieved and a reduction in volume is needed, a valve is adjusted to alter the amount of flow leaving the nozzles. Excess liquid flows back through the center orifice of the nozzle body.
- 10:1 turndown ratio to accommodate variations in gas temperature or volume.
- Large selection of nozzle capacities.
- Simple two-piece design makes installation and maintenance quick and easy.
- Easily interchangeable with competitive nozzles.
